The Project

Investor Relations for private equity fund.

The Brief

Novalpina launched as a new fund with a mission to invest in mid-market opportunities across Europe and the Middle East. Its focus was to be on businesses operating in challenging sectors.

The Challenge

Novalpina was the main investor in Israeli cyber security business NSO Group. The creator of the infamous Pegasus spyware was both the standout and millstone of Novalpina’s fund.

Our work focused on explaining the industrial logic behind the decision to invest. Novalpina needed to introduce the senior management team and demonstrate how it adhered to UN agreed governance standards, only working with government, military and law enforcement clients through a robust framework. (Historical note – a wide-ranging global newspaper investigation later revealed Pegasus spyware being used in a series of highly-contentious circumstances. NSO Group always denied any wrongdoing on its part. This happened after our involvement in the project.)

Activity

We worked closely with the partners at Novalpina and the senior management of the companies to produce the films. Our focus at all times was on clear corporate narratives and delivering the relevant information for investor audiences.

Outcome

We created a series of films for the IR process, introducing the companies Novalpina acquired for its portfolio.
